the ’balloton’ technique

“alambicco represents a modern take on the traditional Venetian ’balloton’ technique.
small square-based pyramids are first pressed into molten glass which is then manually ’mouth-blown’ into a mould. each piece of glass is unique and slightly different due to the varying thicknesses of the glass and the handcrafted manufacturing technique” — artemide press release.
