in december 2023, lacie mobile drive was awarded the prestigious “good design” 2023 prize from the chicago anthenaeum : museum of architecture and design and the european centre for architecture art design and urban studies.

a first for a lacie product, lacie mobile drive is made from post-consumer recycled materials or ’pcr’ – the items that consumers throw in the recycle bin every day, like aluminium cans and plastic bottles.

mobile drive uses aluminium with a 50% ’post-consumer recycled’ content, the product’s frame contains 35% pcr recycled abs – recycled plastic – and these materials can be recycled again.
